PARWAL KA MEETHA

Unique stuffed gourd dessert.
INGREDIENTS
1 cup (240 g) whole-milk fudge (khoya; available at Indian markets; here) 1
cup (200 g) sugar
3 Tbsp (45 ml) milk
1 tsp ground cardamom
1 Tbsp (10 g) milk powder 1 tsp saffron threads (kesar) 1 Tbsp (15 g) finely
chopped dried fruits 1 tsp baking soda
1 cup (240 g) peeled and seeded pointed gourd (parwal; available at Indian
markets), slit 2 cups (480 ml) warm sugar syrup (here) Silver leaves, for
garnishing (warq; optional; here; available at Indian markets)
